Friday, November 28, 2025 - Outspoken Plateau State clergyman, Rev. Ezekiel Dachomo, has raised alarm over a fresh threat to his life from Boko Haram terrorists with the claim that they have placed a bounty on his head with a handsome reward for the first person who would trace and kill him.
Rev. Dachomo who is the Regional Chairman of the Church of
Christ in Nations (COCIN) in Barkin Ladi local government area of Plateau
State, who made the claims in a video shared on social media platforms on
Thursday, said the fresh threat is coming following his consistent
anti-genocide stance and videos of Christian killings and mass burials he has
been revealing.
His stance has also gotten him into trouble with the
Nigerian authorities after he revealed that certain individuals loyal to
President Bola Tinubu have been warning and threatening him to desist from
posting such videos.
His Facebook and Instagram accounts have also been deleted.
At the same time, Facebook Meta has also barred him from posting the videos
with the excuse that they are capable of threatening Nigeria’s internal
security.
In the video, Dachomo revealed he has credible inside
information that the Islamist terrorist group is very serious about eliminating
him for speaking out against their violent activities.
“Boko Haram, the Islamic terrorists, have placed a bounty on
my head, and anyone who kills me first will be rewarded,” he stated in the
video.
The clergy, however, insisted that despite the danger he
faces as he tries to draw the attention of the world to Christian genocide in
the state and the Middle Belt region, nothing will deter him from continuing
with his advocacy despite the personal danger he faces for addressing the
growing insecurity and persecution in the country.
“Before I embarked on this journey of exposing Christian
genocide in Plateau and in Nigeria, I knew my life would be in danger, but I do
not fear death,” he stated.
“In fact, my death will be more dangerous to them than now
that I am alive.
“This is not just about me; it is about every Nigerian who
desires peace and safety. We need support to stand against this terrorism,” he
emphasized.
