Thursday, June 26, 2025 - Reports from North West Nigeria says Mai Jakka, a feared bandit who turned social media celebrity by flaunting his exploits, has finally met his end.
He was reportedly killed in an operation carried out in
Garaji village, located in the Mayanchi axis of Zamfara State.
The news was confirmed in a post on X (formerly Twitter) by
the Senior Special Assistant on New Media to the Governor of Kaduna State,
Abdallah Yunus Abdallah who cited intelligence reports from the area.
He wrote, “Reports coming out of Mayanchi axis of Zamfara
reports that the security forces have eliminated notorious bandit TikToker Mai
Jakka in Garaji village.”
Although details are still emerging, residents of the region
are beginning to breathe a little easier.
Mai Jakka wasn’t just any bandit — he became infamous for
glamorizing violence on TikTok, turning scenes of destruction into viral
content, and mocking the pain of those he dealt with.
Authorities are yet to issue an official statement, but
sources suggest the operation was part of a broader crackdown targeting
high-profile terrorists in the region.
