Wednesday, May 13, 2026 - Prosecutors investigating Tiger Woods’ DUI case will be allowed access to his prescription drug records after a judge approved the request during a court hearing in Florida.
During proceedings at Martin County Circuit Court on
Tuesday, May 11, the judge granted prosecutors permission to subpoena Woods’
medication records from Lewis Pharmacy as part of the ongoing investigation
into his arrest earlier this year.
Woods’ attorney, Douglas Duncan, reportedly challenged the
subpoena, arguing that it violated the golfer’s privacy rights. Although the
judge approved the request, the court also ordered protections limiting who can
view the records. Access will reportedly be restricted to prosecutors, law
enforcement officials, expert witnesses and Woods’ legal team. The documents
will not be publicly available under state open-records laws.
Investigators are seeking details about how frequently Woods filled prescriptions before the March 27 crash that led to the DUI charge. Reports state prosecutors also want information regarding the number of pills prescribed, dosage amounts and whether warning labels advised against driving while taking the medication.
Authorities previously said Woods had two Hydrocodone pills in his pocket at the time of the crash. Woods has pleaded not guilty to the DUI charge, and the investigation remains ongoing.
