Monday, April 20, 2026 - A GUO bus travelling to South-East Nigeria was reportedly attacked by bandits who then k!lled the driver and abducted passengers.
The incident reportedly occurred along the Ore-Benin
expressway.
Videos shared online captured the aftermath of the
incident.
In one video, voices in the background filming the incident
are heard claiming that a trailer seen at the scene offloaded the kidnappers
before they attacked the bus.
"This is not a country. This is not a country at
all," one man is seen saying from a distance as they watched the
kidnappers in action.
"If they meet you people for here, wetin you want
do?" a voice is heard asking those observing the attack."
"How many people they wan k!ll?" some of the men
at the scene responded.
A voice also alleged that soldiers were at the scene as the
attack unfolded.
"Soldiers dey with them," voices claimed in the
background.
However, they were too far from the scene for their camera
to capture what was going on.
After the kidnappers were done, those observing the tragic
incident are heard announcing that the bandits are now crossing the road into
the bush.
"Go see dem. Dem dey cross. Go see dem," the man
filming is heard saying as others echoed his words.
Another video showed the aftermath of the attack.
The GUO bus is seen parked haphazardly in the middle of the
road, with its door opened and some passengers' belongings scattered on the
road.
Passengers on another bus passing the scene are heard
exclaiming in shock.
"Hey, Jesus eh," many passengers screamed.
"Dem k!ll that person. Person dey inside," another
said.
"Dem k!ll the driver. The driver dey inside
motor," voices exclaimed.
"What's going on in Nigeria? Nigeria is gone," a
man said.
"Nigeria is gone," others on the bus agreed with
him.
