Tuesday, January 20, 2026 -The Special Adviser on Politics to Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State, Munirudeen Raji, has revealed that the camp of Governor Ademola Adeleke will throw its weight behind the second-term ambition of President Bola Tinubu.
Raji, who is also an Accord Party chieftain in the state,
made this revelation while featuring in a current affairs programme titled Lero
Temi on Monday in Osogbo.
While admitting that the Adeleke political machinery worked
against Tinubu’s presidential ambition during the 2023 presidential election,
Raji assured that President Bola Tinubu’s victory in the 2027 presidential
election is guaranteed.
He said, “President Bola Tinubu belongs to all of us. I even
stated in a forum recently that when electioneering campaigns start, whenever
we print Governor Adeleke’s posters, we will ensure that President Bola Tinubu
is included so that the electorate will know we are also campaigning for him.
“We will vote for Governor Ademola Adeleke for governor and
also vote for Bola Tinubu for president.
“I can guarantee that President Bola Tinubu will win the
2027 presidential election. Even though we voted against him during the 2023
presidential election, we are now saying that we will vote for him, and he will
win the forthcoming presidential election.”
Raji also insisted that Governor Adeleke is a member of
Accord, along with all his appointed officials, but admitted that the elected
representatives of the people are still in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
He maintained that there is no faction in the Accord Party
in the state, attributing claims to the mischief of elements from opposition
political parties.
“There is no faction in Osun Accord. This is just mischief
from the opposition, and INEC has also insisted that there is no faction in
Accord.
“The electorate still wants Governor Adeleke, and this gives
us the confidence that he will be re-elected come August 8.
“Governor Ademola Adeleke will win the August 8 election
because he is a man of the people. The people of Osun now know who the
deceivers are.
“In 2018, Adeleke won, but an inconclusive election was used
to edge him out.
“In 2022, another election was held, but this time around,
Governor Adeleke won. They said he could only dance, but that dancing is what
brought Osun the much-needed dividends of democracy.”
