Friday, September 4, 2026 - Muhammad Gado Suleiman Marafa, a Special Adviser to the Governor of Kebbi State, has died after a prolonged illness.
Marafa, a former Commissioner for Information and Culture,
and erstwhile Chairman of Fakai Local Government Area and member of the Kebbi
State House of Assembly, died on Thursday.
He also served as Commissioner for Solid and Mineral
Resources and Chairman of the Board of the Kebbi State Health Management
Agency, KECHEMA.
His death has drawn condolences from political leaders and
associates across Kebbi State, who described him as a respected elder and
community leader.
Governor Nasir Idris expressed sadness over the death,
describing Marafa as a respected stakeholder from Fakai Local Government Area
and a committed public servant.
In a condolence message, the governor said the deceased
contributed to the development of Kebbi State and would be remembered for his
service and commitment to his people.
Idris prayed for Allah to forgive Marafa’s shortcomings,
accept his good deeds and grant him Al-Jannatul Firdaus.
The governor also extended his condolences to the deceased’s
family, the people of Fakai LGA and the people of Kebbi State.
The family of the deceased announced that his burial would
take place on Friday, September 4, 2026, at the 1st Izala Juma’at Mosque
in Zuru, Kebbi State, after the Juma’at prayer.
