Saturday, September 5, 2026 -A Delta State court has remanded content creator, Ifeanyi Ogbonna, popularly known as Odogwu Asaba, over alleged rape and causing the death of 20-year-old Favour Agbro.
The court granted the remand application on Friday,
September 4, 2026, after it was heard.
Awele Ideal, lawyer to Favour’s family, announced the
development in a social media post on Friday, saying Ogbonna had been taken to
the Ogwashi-Uku Maximum Correctional Centre.
The remand came shortly after the autopsy and toxicology
results in the case were made available to the police investigation team.
“Today the 4/9/2026, the application to remand Mr
Ifeanyi Ogbonna (Odogwu Asaba) was heard and granted by the Court. He has now
been remanded at the Ogwashi Uku Maximum Correctional Center,” Ideal said.
She said the autopsy and toxicology results, together with
other evidence gathered by investigators, were included in the investigation
report prepared for prosecution and trial.
According to the lawyer, Ogbonna will be brought before the
court as the case progresses, while the Ministry of Justice, through the
Attorney-General and Director of Public Prosecutions, will handle the next
stage of the prosecution.
Ideal said she would continue to represent Favour’s family
and keep the public informed as the case progresses.
