Tuesday, September 1, 2026 - A 34-year-old Nigerian is expected to appear before the Durban Magistrate’s Court in South Africa for allegedly dealing in drugs in Montclair, South Africa.
The South African Police Service, in a statement on its
Facebook page on Monday, said the suspect appeared before the court on Monday
following his arrest by members of the Provincial Firearms and Drugs Unit.
The statement noted that the suspect was arrested in
Montclair after he was allegedly found in possession of cocaine powder with an
estimated street value of R30,000.
The statement added, “He was arrested in Montclair by
members of the Provincial Firearms and Drugs Unit after he was found in
possession of cocaine powder with an estimated street value of R30,000.
“The suspect was also found with R5,000 cash on him, which
he could not properly account for.”
The statement noted that the cash and suspected cocaine were
seized during the operation.
It concluded that the suspect is expected to face the court
over the drug-related allegations, while the South African police continue
their efforts against the distribution of illicit drugs.
