Terrorists kill one, abduct several others in Kaduna Mosque attack




Monday, June 1, 2026 - Armed bandits attacked a mosque in Unguwan Namama village, Giwa Local Government Area of Kaduna State, k!lling one worshipper and abducting several others.

The attack occurred on Friday night, May 29, 2026.

Several people also sustained injuries during the attack and were rushed to hospital for treatment.

The deceased worshipper was identified as Adamu Ibraheem. 

His relative, Abubakar Abdullahi, confirmed the incident in a message sent to the media on Monday, June 1.

According to him, the bandits, who stormed the mosque at about 8 p.m., reportedly opened fire on worshippers, leaving several people with gunshot wounds.

Sources said the attackers laid siege to the area while prayers were ongoing and began shooting at worshippers as they exited the mosque, triggering panic and chaos.

As of the time of filing this report, the exact number of those abducted and injured had yet to be ascertained.
