‘Everybody hates you’ TRUMP clashes with NETANYAHU as Lebanon tension escalates

Wednesday, June 3, 2026 - US President Donald Trump reportedly told Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that he was “fucking crazy” and warned that “everybody hates Israel” after Iran suspended peace talks over Israel’s planned attacks on Beirut.

American officials cited in reports described the phone call as “expletive-laden”, saying Trump strongly confronted Netanyahu and warned that additional attacks on Lebanon could further isolate Israel internationally.

Summarizing Trump’s remarks, one official quoted him as saying: “I’m saving your ass. Everybody hates you now. Everybody hates Israel because of this.”

Another source claimed Trump shouted during the conversation: “What the fuck are you doing?”

Two officials also said Trump accused Netanyahu of ingratitude, referencing the Israeli leader’s ongoing corruption trial and previous public comments where Trump suggested Netanyahu should receive a pardon.

The reported exchange came shortly after Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps announced it had suspended negotiations and indirect communications over Netanyahu’s plans to continue attacks on Beirut’s southern suburb, Dahieh.

Initially responding to Iran’s decision, Trump reportedly said: “I don’t care if they’re over, honestly... I really don’t care. I couldn’t care less.”

Following the call, Trump announced on social media that no troops would be heading to Beirut and claimed forces already moving toward the area had been turned back.

He also stated that he had a “very good call with Hezbollah” regarding a ceasefire arrangement

“They agreed that all shooting will stop — that Israel will not attack them, and they will not attack Israel,” Trump said.

Hezbollah lawmaker Hassan Fadlallah later stated that the group supported a full ceasefire across Lebanon, saying such an agreement should eventually lead to a complete Israeli troop withdrawal from Lebanese territory.

Fadlallah also said Hezbollah rejected a limited truce proposal that would have prevented attacks on Beirut in exchange for halting Hezbollah operations in northern Israel.
