Monday, May 18, 2026 - Operatives of the Safer Highway Patrol Team, during a routine stop-and-search duty, have arrested a suspect, Felix Ike, along the Ughelli/Patani Road in Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State.
The operatives also recovered from the suspect one
English-made pump-action gun and forty rounds of live cartridges.
The suspect, who is currently in custody, was arrested on
May 14, 2026, at about 0900hrs.
Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bright Edafe, confirmed
the report in a statement sent to our correspondent in Warri.
He said, “On May 14, 2026, at about 0900hrs, operatives of
the Safer Highway Patrol Team, during routine stop-and-search duty along the
Ughelli/Patani Road, intercepted a Lexus Jeep with registration number KWL 139
CY driven by one Felix Ike.”
According to him, “A thorough search conducted on the
vehicle led to the recovery of one English-made pump-action gun and forty
rounds of live cartridges.”
SP Edafe also said, “The suspect is in custody while
investigation is ongoing.”
