Wednesday, May 13, 2026 - The man accused of stealing unreleased music belonging to Beyoncé ahead of her “Cowboy Carter” tour stop in Atlanta has avoided trial after reaching a plea agreement with prosecutors.
According to reports, Kelvin Evans pleaded guilty on Tuesday
to several charges connected to the theft. Investigators said surveillance
footage allegedly captured Evans breaking into an SUV rented by a member of
Beyoncé’s team just two days before her Atlanta performances on the Cowboy
Carter Tour.
Authorities claimed a flash drive containing unreleased
Beyoncé music was among the items stolen from the vehicle. Evans had originally
pleaded not guilty and reportedly rejected an earlier plea offer in March. He
had been facing up to six years in prison if convicted at trial.
However, under the new plea agreement, he was sentenced to
two years behind bars. Prosecutors also alleged Evans may have been connected
to other vehicle break-ins in the area.
