Monday, May 11, 2026 - The ward 5 chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Enugu South Local Government Area was assaulted by some party members at a meeting.
It was gathered that the incident occurred on Saturday, May
9, 2026 following a disagreement over the sharing of money.
Narrating his ordeal, the chairman said the incident
occurred after the party meeting ended.
According to him, he was preparing to distribute money when
they pounced on him.
The chairman claimed the individuals allegedly assaulted him
and tore his clothes.
A video making the rounds online shows moment the chairman
was assaulted by the party members.
