Friday, May 22, 2026 - Superstar footballer Cristiano Ronaldo burst into tears as he finally ended his three-year wait for a trophy at Al-Nassr.
The Portugal captain scored twice as his Al Nassr
defeated Damac 4–1 on Thursday night to secure his first Saudi Pro League title
since joining the league in January 2023.
The win and the three points confirmed Al-Nassr‘s place as
champions of the Saudi Pro League.
Ronaldo, 41, and his team headed into the match needing at
least a point to hold off rivals Al-Hilal.
Former Liverpool star Sadio Mane opened the scoring in the
31st minute before Kinsley Coman doubled the lead after the break.
Morlaye Sylla nabbed one back for Damac before Ronaldo
stepped up and scored his second goal of the night.
The five-time Ballon d’Or winner has now won domestic league
titles in Portugal, England, Spain, Italy, and Saudi Arabia. He is also set to
represent Portugal at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which will be his sixth
appearance at football’s biggest international tournament.
