Sunday, April 5, 2026 -Doubts have continued to trail influencer, Blessing ‘’CEO'' Okoro's claim of having stage 4 cancer.
A Nigerian medical doctor, Dr Adefunke Arowolo, and Blessing
were on Arise TV on Saturday, April 4, to discuss her cancer claim. While on
the show, the medical doctor pointed out disparities in Blessing's claim.
Blessing had claimed that she initially visited the hospital
after she discovered a lump in her breast and when a test was ran, they told
her it wasn't cancerous. She said she went back months for another test
and then it was discovered that the lump was cancerous and that it was on its
fourth stage.
While Blessing recounted how a doctor in Enugu carried out
medical tests on her to detect if she had cancer, Dr Arowolo countered all of
her claims. She argued that no doctor would conduct a biopsy first on a cancer
patient.
The doctor further stated that when cancer is
suspected, an imaging is first carried out on the patient, an ultrasound scan
if the patient is less than 40 and if above forty, a mammogram is carried out
before a biopsy can then be done. She said no qualified doctor would
allow a patient move around with a lump in their breast for six months as
a test would be performed to determine if it is cancerous or not.
When asked what type of doctor she saw, Blessing
responded ‘’an oncologist'. Dr Arowolo disagreed with her claim saying no
hospital would send a cancer patient to see an oncologist unless a Biopsy
result has been obtained.
Dr Arowolo also mentioned that she contacted the pathologist
who signed the medical report Blessing paraded and that the pathologist told
her that he has nothing to do with the test result. She mentioned that the
pathologist who Blessing claimed signed the report is based in Asaba, Delta
state and not in Enugu as indicated in the result being paraded.
