Monday, March 30, 2026 - Three trafficked Nigerian girls have been rescued from Mali and returned home.
The victims, Linda, Bella and Joy, were rescued on March 25,
2026 by an anti-human trafficking organization, GAHTO, in collaboration with
the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons
(NAPTIP)
The organization in a statement on Sunday, March 28,
disclosed that the victims arrived Nigeria safely and have been reunited with
their families.
“The three victims of human trafficking ( Linda, Joy and
Bella) rescued by GAHTO few days ago from Mali arrived safely. They were happy
to have regained their freedom and have reunited with their families as NAPTIP
Lagos Zonal Command continue with their investigation,” the statement read.
“It is no longer a child's play the rate our young girls are
becoming victims of Trafficking daily. Parent are strongly advised to watch
over their children. No girl worth to be trafficked for S3xual Exploitation.”
