Government releases emergency hotlines for Nigerians in Middle East




Monday, March, 9 2026 - The Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM) has issued a set of emergency contact numbers for Nigerians living in parts of the Middle East, following rising tensions between Iran and Israel.

In a statement posted on its official X handle, NiDCOM Chairman, Abike Dabiri-Erewa, urged citizens in the affected region to save the numbers and stay in regular contact with the nearest Nigerian diplomatic missions for guidance, assistance, or urgent support.

“These hotlines are intended to provide immediate consular support to Nigerians who may face security risks as the conflict intensifies across parts of the Middle East,” Dabiri-Erewa said.

She also advised Nigerians to follow official channels for updates on evacuation procedures, travel advisories, and other emergency information.
