Monday, January 19, 2026 - The burial arrangement for late gospel musician, Omije Ojumi has been cancelled.
Her colleague, Lanre Alewilese, made the development known
in an Instagram post.
Speaking on behalf of the planning committee, Alewilese
cited ongoing crisis within the singer’s family as a major reason for the
cancellation.
“This is to inform you that all burial plans of our Late
Sister & Colleague, Bunmi Akinnaanu has been CANCELLED over issues arising
within her family. We’re deeply sorry for inconveniences”, Alewilese said.
The committee earlier announced that the deceased will be
laid to rest on Wednesday January 20 2026.
