Friday, December 5, 2025 - Properties worth millions of naira have been destroyed as a result of fire that ravaged a residential building in Ibadan.
The incident, which occurred Thursday afternoon at No 1,
Road 10, Adepoju Area in Ibadan, affected one of the flats in a residential
building.
Our correspondent gathered that properties worth millions of
naira were affected in the inferno.
Chairman, Oyo State Fire Service, Hon Maroof Akinwande
confirmed the incident.
He maintained that the fire was jointly quenched with the
support of men of the Federal Fire Service.
Akinwande in a statement onThursday evening said,
“Upon arrival, our officers quickly swung into action and
restricted the fire from spreading to the second flat.
“The Federal Fire Service Ibadan Command later joined the
Oyo State Fire Services and the fire was collectively extinguished”.
