Monday, December 29, 2025 - The abducted wife and two-year-old daughter of a village head in Amantu, Ayu Chiefdom of Sanga Local Government Area, Kaduna State, has been rescued.
Local security agencies rescued the victims on Sunday,
December 28, 2025.
The incident occurred around 7:00 p.m., shortly after reports
emerged of the abduction of two other individuals, identified as a man and a
woman, in Fadan Karshi, Gwantu Chiefdom, also in Sanga LGA.
Communities across the local government were promptly
alerted and mobilised to assist in search efforts.
While the wife of the Amantu village head, identified as
Usman Danjuma, also known as Danbala, was reunited with her family at
approximately 8:45 a.m. on Monday, the two victims from Fadan Karshi remain
missing
"Two kidnapped victims of Karshi are nowhere to be found
while the wife of the village head of Amantu, Usman Danjuma, aka Danbala
reunited with her family at about 8.45 am this morning,” a community source
said.
Sources told Sahara reporters that the successful recovery of
Danjuma’s wife and child was the result of voluntary action by local residents
and security personnel, who worked together to track and rescue the victims
