"I promise to marry you as second wife" Lady shares message sent by her boyfriend after he dumped her and married another woman

Monday, December 29, 2025 - A Nigerian medical student, Hafsat Umar Faruq, has shared a message she received from her boyfriend, proclaiming his undying love for her and seeking forgiveness after he married another woman. 

Hafsat shared a screenshot of the message on Saturday, December 27, 

“He married someone else and still had the nerve to say he loved me. Love isn’t announced after vows — it’s proven before betrayal,” she wrote. 

In the message, the man claimed that he had wanted to inform her earlier about his marriage but he was too busy. 

He further claimed that he planned to marry Hafsat as a second wife.

“I 'm sorry to inform you now but as you have seen it. I got married today but that shouldn't mean I don't love you. My plan is to marry you as a second wife,” he wrote.

“Wallahi I wanted to inform you earlier but I was so busy. Please can you find a place in your heart to forgive me. And please don't be heartbroken because I still love you and care for you. I promise to marry you as a second wife. I love you.”
