Monday, November 17, 2025 - A Nigerian woman, Sumayya Hamman Adama, has revealed that her husband divorced her for delivering their two children through caesarian section.
Sumayya, from Adamawa State, shared her heartbreaking story
on Sunday, November 16, 2025 while reacting to a Facebook post by one Buithat
Hudu, who berated men that consider their wives less of a woman and mother for
giving birth via CS.
She further revealed that their first child passed away after the divorce.
“I have gone
through this for the first and second birth, he divorces me because I was
giving birth through CS. He can't stay with me. But Alhamdulillah for
everything. I lost the first baby, I am now with the second born.
Alhamdulillah. May Almighty Allah rewards and bless anyone that is going
through hard times,” she wrote.
In her post, Hudu wrote: “The way some men speak about their
wives as if they were not birthed by a woman is nauseating. How the hell do you
attribute a CAESARIAN SECTION scar to the character of a woman? Your mother
failed you seriously. The same thing she went through in bringing you to the
world, is same thing your wife goes through to bring forth your 'own' children
to the world. But all of a sudden, you think your mother is more of a woman
than your wife? If you can cherish your mother for bearing you, you should also
cherish your wife for bearing your children.”
