Monday, September 22, 2025 - U.S. President Donald Trump and billionaire Elon Musk were seen together at the memorial event for right-wing activist Charlie Kirk in Glendale, Arizona, sparking talks of a possible reconciliation.
The two, who had a bitter public fallout months ago, were
filmed shaking hands and chatting as tens of thousands gathered inside the
stadium for the service.
Musk, who owns X (formerly Twitter), even posted a photo of
himself and Trump sitting together at the memorial with the caption: “For
Charlie.”
Both men were once close allies — Musk donated over $270
million to Trump’s presidential campaign and helped lead the administration’s
controversial “Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE)” before their
relationship soured.
Their fallout came after Musk criticized Trump’s tax and
spending bill as “utterly insane and destructive.” The feud escalated online,
with Musk accusing Trump of links to Jeffrey Epstein, and Trump later
suggesting he could “take a look” at deporting Musk.
It’s unclear if Sunday was their first meeting since the
clash, but their public reunion has stirred speculation that they may be
mending fences.
