Wednesday, September 17, 2025 - The body of a herder (name withheld) who went missing on Sunday has been found in a farm at Riwaza, near Fobgbe community in Kwali Area Council of the FCT.
Villagers said the discovery was made around 6:22 p.m. on
Monday by a farmer returning from his field.
The deceased was said to have left his settlement in Riwaza
with his cows for grazing on Sunday morning but never returned.
His absence raised concern among residents after the Fulani
community leader in Fobgbe, Ardo Shehu Usman, announced that a herder had been
missing.
Confirming the incident on Wednesday, Ardo Usman said the
matter was not immediately reported to security agencies because of the poor
condition of the road linking the village to Kwali town.
We kept searching for him but It was not until Monday
evening that a farmer saw the corpse and informed the community,” he explained.
The cause of death of the hearderis yet to be determined as
at the time of filing this report.
