Thursday, August 7, 2025 - Armed bandits attacked farmers across several communities in Rabah local government area of Sokoto State on Wednesday causing panic and displacement.
The attack also resulted in the death of a hunter who
attempted to flee but was gunned down by the assailants.
This was revealed in an alert issued by security analyst
Bakatsine on X on Thursday morning.
He wrote” ALERT: Yesterday morning, bandits attacks farmers
in Gidan Buwai, Kundus, Rarah and Dudu Barade Bulke, all in Rabah LGA, Sokoto
State. Farmers were displaced and gunshots rang out. A fleeing hunter was shot
in Rarah. No abductions or livestock thefts reported.
Sokoto state has been battling with recurring insecurity and escalating attacks from several armed groups.
