Wednesday, July 9, 2025 - American country music star Shaboozey has expressed pride in his Nigerian roots, saying the country will always be a part of him.
Born Collins Obinna Chibueze to Nigerian parents in
Woodbridge, Virginia, Shaboozey recently took to his X page to reflect on his
cultural heritage.
“This one feels like a homecoming,” he wrote. “Virginia
raised me, but Nigeria will always be in my blood.”
Shaboozey’s growing global recognition has also put a
spotlight on his background, with many fans celebrating his Nigerian identity.
