Wednesday, July 23, 2025 - Edo State Governor, Okpebholo, has defended his recent remarks warning Peter Obi against visiting Edo without notifying him first, saying, “If telling Peter Obi not to come to Edo without informing me is a crime, so be it.”
Speaking on the matter, the governor insisted he has no
regrets over his statement, stressing that his role as the chief security
officer of the state compelled him to speak out.
Okpebholo clarified that his comments were intended as
advice rather than a threat, highlighting his responsibility to ensure the
safety and security of Edo residents.
