Wednesday, June 25, 2025 - Nigerian winger Moses Simon has completed a move to Paris FC from fellow French side Nantes, the capital club announced on Wednesday.
The 29-year-old has signed a three-year contract as Paris FC
prepares for its return to Ligue 1, marking its first season in the French
top-flight since the 1978–1979 campaign.
Simon’s transfer follows a significant shift in the club’s
ownership, with the Arnault family and Austrian energy drinks giant Red Bull
taking control of Paris FC in November. The investment helped propel the club
to promotion, with former Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp now serving as Red
Bull’s global head of football.
During his six-season stint with Nantes, Simon made 201
appearances and scored 37 goals. While the fee for his transfer was not
disclosed, Paris FC’s sporting director, François Ferracci, said the club had
long targeted the Nigerian international.
“Moses was a priority for us and he has shown a real
interest in our project despite a lot of demand [from other clubs],” Ferracci
said.
