Thursday, June 26, 2025 - Rapper Fat Joe is pushing back hard against a lawsuit filed by his former hypeman Terrance “T.A.” Dixon, and the attorney representing him, Tyrone Blackburn, calling the case a “legal extortion” and vowing to fight back with everything he has.
In a fiery statement released Wednesday, the Bronx-born
hip-hop veteran addressed recent developments, including Blackburn’s arrest for
allegedly striking a man with his car. Joe called Blackburn a “clout-chaser”
and dismissed the claims made in Dixon’s lawsuit, which accuses Joe of s3xually
inappropriate conduct involving min0rs, allegations the rapper vehemently
denies.
“This has been one of the hardest years of my life,” Joe
wrote, noting that he recently lost both of his parents as well as longtime
friend and crew member Raul Conde. “But I’ve survived the worst of the Bronx,
and I’m not going to let lies and legal manipulation destroy my name.”
Fat Joe claims that Dixon turned on him after being let go,
framing the lawsuit as an act of revenge rather than justice. “Once I fired
him, he flipped. Now he’s out here spreading vile lies for a payday,” he said.
Joe's attorney, Joe Tacopina, also weighed in, expressing
serious concerns about Blackburn’s conduct and credibility. Tacopina said the
case will be fought aggressively, stating, “We’re going for the jugular.”
As of now, neither Blackburn nor Dixon has responded to Fat
Joe’s latest remarks. The case is ongoing.
