Wednesday, June 11, 2025 - Popular Nigerian actor and activist, Mr Macaroni, has slammed APC loyalists dragging his name into yet another online drama over celebrities visiting political leaders.
In a heated rant on X (formerly Twitter), Mr Macaroni made
it clear that he has never condemned anyone for associating with politicians,
and people need to stop making him the moral benchmark.
“I have said
this times without number! I am nobody’s Hero!! I am not a saint!!! Na all of
us get our own for body!” he tweeted.
He accused “APC Rascals” of always trying to twist his
stance to attack others, even though he has never criticised any celebrity for
visiting political figures.
According to him, just because he chooses not to associate
with politicians doesn’t mean others who do are bad or wrong. “It’s a matter of
preference. It is unfair to hold others by these standards,” he wrote.
Mr Macaroni said he’s tired of repeating himself but
somehow, APC supporters still find a way to drag his name into “their misery
and misfortune.”
Despite all the noise, he gave major kudos to chess champion
Tunde Onakoya, calling his work “tremendously inspiring” and urging everyone to
focus on building a better Nigeria in their own way.
But that wasn’t all.
Responding to jabs from APC supporters asking why he never
attends political functions, Mr Macaroni revealed that invitations have been
pouring in from all levels — “Local ooo, State ooo, Federal ooo…” — but he has
always declined them.
“Invitations
choke on different levels!!! But I promise, you will continue to cry, weep and
gnash your teeth because all will be continuously declined,” he fired back.
He also questioned why simply being respected by someone
online turns into a reason for APC trolls to insult him.
“Na another
person talk am but na me dem go start to dey insult… Awon Osinwin dede!!!”
Wrapping up his tweets, he once again emphasized that he is
not a role model for how celebrities should relate with politicians.
“Please
again, I am no one’s hero! I am not a saint! I am not the standard… I speak up
for what I believe in and not for anyone’s validation. I hope this puts this
matter to rest…”
