Wednesday, June 11, 2025 - Premier League club, Everton have reportedly entered the race to sign Super Eagles midfielder, Christantus Uche, from Getafe.
The 22-year-old defensive midfielder has emerged as one of
La Liga’s brightest revelations following a stellar debut season
with Getafe.
Uche played 38 matches under manager José Bordalás, scoring
four goals and making seven assists.
Premier League sides Leeds United, Brentford, Chelsea,
and Newcastle United, as well as Spanish giants Atlético Madrid, have all
expressed strong interest in securing his services.
However, Everton are the latest to signal their interest
ahead of the summer transfer window, according to Estadio Deportivo.
Uche’s release clause is set at €25 million, but Getafe are
reportedly open to negotiations. Ceuta, his former club, retains a 20% sell-on
clause in any future transfer.
Getafe president Ángel Torres and incoming sporting director
Toni Muñoz are expected to hold key talks over Uche’s future in the coming
weeks.
