It's haram to marry a second wife while first wife is suffering in your hands - Nigerian Islamic scholar says

Monday, May 5, 2025 - A Nigerian Islamic scholar, Al Hussein Sunnah, has said that it's wrong for a man to marry a second wife when his first wife is suffering due to financial hardship and lack of maintenance. 

“It is haram not Sunnah to marry a second wife while the first wife is suffering in your hands in financial and maintenance,” he wrote.
