Politician receives heat after telling man to reduce amount of food for his nannies

Thursday, March 27, 2025 - A politician is trending on X over a tweet she made advising a man to regulate how much food his nannies eat. 

The man had come online to narrate how his nannies eat eba and soup with tea every morning before they start their job. He joked about the combination and wondered how much his children put them through to make them add beverages after eating eba and soup for breakfast. 

Former lawmaker, Adekemi Famuagun Balogun responded, telling him the tea the domestic staff drink is not necessary and can be stopped. 

The father explained that he has no issues with his nannies eating well, since they care for the most important people in his life. 

However, the politician insisted that there should be "cautions and limits" with regards to the opportunities given to the nannies. 

Her comments did not go down well with Nigerians and they left comments speaking their minds.
