Saturday, November 30, 2024 -A young bride was found de@d just days after her wedding while on her dream honeymoon to Miami.
Aleksandra Leczycka, 26, tragically died of a suspected drug overdose or
severe allergic reaction to them after travelling from Poland to
celebrate with her husband, officials say.
According to Mail Online, Leczycka and her
husband David Leczycki, from Siedlce, had gotten married just 23 days
before the pair were found unconscious on the Miami street.
The pair had been stripped of cash and
jewellery, reports local media, leading US police to assume they had been doped
and robbed, Polish media recently reported.
Examining evidence gathered in Miami, cops
have now determined the pair had voluntarily taken psychoactive drugs.
The new bride had suffered from either a severe allergic reaction or overdose, investigators in Poland said.
Hours before Leczycka died in August 2022, she had been posting images
of herself enjoying drinks and having fun at a Miami beach.
Siedlce District Prosecutor Krystyna Golabek said: 'By a decision dated
23rd October 2024, the District Prosecutor's Office in Siedlce discontinued the
investigation into the case of Aleksandra L., whose death occurred on 29th
August 2022, in Miami Beach, USA, as well as into the exposure of Dawid L. on
the same date and in the same location to immediate danger of death or serious
harm to health.
'Extensive investigative measures were carried out, including a request
for legal assistance from the American side, which provided materials from
their investigation.
'Expert opinions in the fields of computer science and toxicology were
also obtained.'
Golabek added their evidence suggested the couple had taken drugs
themselves but they could not rule out that they were involuntarily drugged.
The investigator added that none of their evidence confirmed the cops'
initial thoughts.
Leczycka and David tied the knot on August 6, 2022, but she died around
three weeks laHer cause of death was determined on October 23, 2024, after a
re-investigation was opened.
