Community left in shock as Bandits kill Governor RADDA's aide and wife, abduct second wife

Sunday, August 18, 2024 -Suspected bandits have killed an aide to the Katsina State Governor, Alhaji Sanusi Ango Gyaza and his wife. 

The bandits killed Sanusi and one of his wives at his residence in the Gyaza community of Kankia local government area of the state on Friday, August 16, 2024.

It was also gathered that during the attack, the bandits abducted his second wife, leaving the community in shock and mourning. 

The deceased was a former Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT) in Kankia LGA. 

The spokesperson of the State Police Command, Abubakar Sadiq, confirmed the incident to journalists on Sunday.

“Yes, we are aware and we are on top of the situation," the PPRO said.
