On April 1, a report went viral claiming the
award-winning singer was arrested and detained at the Jomo Kenyatta
International Airport in Nairobi, the Kenyan capital.
The report which emanated from Kenya's
media alleged that the singer and seven members of his crew were arrested after
narcotics were found in the private jet they flew into the country in.
In a statement released today April 2,
Davido said the reports are false. He said he travelled to Uganda and Kenya
where he went to perform and that he has since returned to Nigeria. He also
pointed out that he has never been arrested for any crime in any part of the
world. He said his legal counsel is working to go after those who fabricated
the story.
