Commissioner of Police, Bode Ojajuni, has ordered an immediate manhunt for one
Kola following an allegation of sexual molestation involving a 17-year-old boy.
The alleged molestation was formally reported at the Adigbe
Police Division on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at about 5pm.
The spokesperson for the state police command, DSP Oluseyi
Babaseyi, disclosed this in a statement on Wednesday.
Babaseyi said, “The teenage boy, who was accompanied by his
parents, alleged that one Mr Kola sexually assaulted him on three occasions in
January 2026 and threatened him into silence.
“Following the report, he was taken to a hospital within the
Adigbe axis for medical examination, while detectives commenced investigation.”
The command stressed that the matter only came to police
attention following the report made on September 8, 2026.
The suspect is said to be at large, while the CP has
directed detectives to intensify efforts to locate and arrest him.
The command assured the public that the allegation was receiving urgent, professional and sensitive investigation, while reiterating its commitment to protecting children and vulnerable persons.
