Tuesday, September 1, 2026 - The Intelligence Unit of the Nigeria Police Force, Zone 12 Headquarters, Bauchi State, has arrested five suspected ritualists found in possession of human organs.

Jalige Mohammad, disclosed this in a statement on Monday, August 31, 2026.
According to Mohammad, two human eyes, white and red cloth,
and other materials suspected to be used for money ritual purposes were
recovered from the suspects.
“The Zone 12 Intelligence Unit has recorded a major
breakthrough with the arrest of five suspects on 26th August, 2026 found
in possession of suspected human organs in Bauchi,” the statement read.
"During the operation, the following suspects were
arrested: Abdullahi Idris ‘m’, Sani Haruna ‘m’, Auwal Umar ‘m’, Abubakar Yusuf
‘m’, and Sharu Sale ‘m’.
"Several exhibits were recovered from the suspects,
which includes two human eyes, white and red cloth, and other materials
suspected to be used for money ritual purposes.
"The suspects are currently in custody and undergoing
interrogation. Investigation is ongoing to unravel further facts about the
case, and the possible arrest of other accomplices and the source of the
recovered exhibits.
"Upon completion of investigation suspects will be
charge to a court of competent jurisdiction.
"The Assistant Inspector General of Police has
condemned the act in strong terms and urged parents, guardians, and members of
the public to remain vigilant.
"He further advised citizens to report any suspicious
persons or activities to the nearest Police formation immediately.
“The AIG reassures the public of its commitment to rid the
zone of criminal elements and ensure the safety of lives and property.”
