Monday, August 3, 2026 -A 400-level student of the Federal University of Lafia,
(FULAFIA) Nasarawa State was k!lled by in a robbery attack.
It was gathered that Habiba Ummi Lele, of the Department of
Chemistry was shot d3ad by the armed robbers on her way back to Lafia after
attending her friends' graduation at the College of Health and Technology,
Keffi.
The incident occurred on Saturday, August 1, 2026 when the
attackers opened fire on the vehicle she was travelling in, k!lling her
instantly.
Details of the incident are still sketchy as of the time of
filing this report.
The Executive Chairman of Awe Local Government Council, Hon.
Umar Abubakar Dan’AKano, alongside the Member representing Awe North
Constituency, Hon. Hudu A. Hudu Kanje, attended the funeral prayer of the late
Habiba.
The funeral prayer was held at the residence of Hon. Hudu A.
Hudu Kanje in Kanje, on Sunday, bringing together family members, friends,
community leaders, and sympathizers who gathered to pay their final respects
and stand in solidarity with the bereaved family during this difficult moment.
In a demonstration of compassion, solidarity, and
leadership, Hon. Umar Abubakar Dan’AKano extended his heartfelt condolences to
the family of the deceased.
He prayed to Almighty Allah (SWT) to forgive the
shortcomings of the departed soul, grant her Al-Jannatul Firdaus, and grant her
eternal peace in the hereafter.
He further prayed for strength, patience, comfort, and
divine guidance for the bereaved family, the people of Kanje, and all loved
ones as they mourn this painful and irreparable loss.
