Tuesday, August 18, 2026 - Former Spanish midfielder Sergio Busquets has rejoined his childhood club, FC Barcelona, as an assistant coach with the side’s B team, Barcelona Athletic.
Busquets will work alongside second-team head coach Juliano
Belletti in the upcoming season.
Barça said on their official website: "Sergio
Busquets joins Barça Atlético as an assistant coach on Monday. The Barça legend
joins Juliano Belletti's team to bring his experience and football knowledge to
the Barça team while he takes the coaching course."
Busquets left Barcelona in 2023 and joined Inter Miami in

Suárez, before calling time on his playing career late last year.
Busquets, who won the 2010 World Cup and Euro 2012 with
Spain, made 722 appearances for Barça, placing him third on their all-time
list. In his 15 years with the club, he won 32 trophies, including nine
La Liga titles, seven Copa del Rey titles, seven Spanish Super Cups, three
Champions Leagues, three European Super Cups and three Club World Cups.
