Tuesday, August 25, 2026 - Rapper Blueface was detained by Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies in California over the weekend after authorities responded to an emergency call reporting severe violence, according to TMZ.
The rapper was inside a restaurant in Santa Clarita on
Sunday night when deputies arrived at the scene. Several people, including
Blueface, were detained while officers investigated the reported emergency.
Authorities later determined that no crime had occurred and
released everyone. The incident was subsequently described as an apparent
“swatting” attack, in which a false emergency report is made to prompt an armed
police response. A witness reportedly livestreamed the incident, capturing
Blueface and his partner, Nevaeh Akira, during the police response.
Videos shared on social media show deputies ordering
Blueface to leave the restaurant. He is seen walking backwards toward officers
with his hands raised before being handcuffed while on his knees. One deputy
asked Blueface whether he was with his baby mama. Akira, who appeared to be
holding a child,
was visibly concerned during the encounter.
Blueface then told her to take his phone and return inside
the restaurant before complying with officers. He was not arrested and was
ultimately released. The incident comes amid several other recent encounters
between Blueface and police.
Earlier this month, officers were called to his Santa
Clarita home after footage emerged appearing to show the rapper kicking a
pregnant Akira into a swimming pool. No arrest was made in that incident.
Days earlier, Blueface and rapper Chrisean Rock were stopped
by police in San Diego over equipment violations. Blueface was also not
arrested in that case. Authorities have not publicly announced any charges
arising from the latest incident. Blueface has not yet commented publicly on
the reported swatting incident.
