Monday, August 24, 2026 -The Zambia Police Service on the Copperbelt Province, has launched a manhunt for a woman over the d3ath of her boyfriend's wife.
The 26-year-old Vainess Kanyama, d!ed after she was
allegedly beaten by her husband’s side chick in Kitwe
It was gathered that the incident happened when Vainess went
to confront the suspect, Christin Ntundwe, over an alleged affair with her
husband.
The mother of three was laid to rest on Friday, August
21.
According to Copperbelt Police Commissioner Rae Hamoonga,
the incident occurred on August 18, 2026, between 15 and 16 hours in Ipusukilo,
also known as Kapoto Compound in Kitwe.
The matter was later reported at Riverside Police Station
around 18:50 hours on the same day by 40-year-old Frank Zulu, who reported that
his daughter had been found unconscious following an alleged altercation
involving her husband’s girlfriend.
A postmortem examination conducted on August 21, 2026, by a
pathologist at Kitwe Teaching Hospital indicated that the deceased died from a
brain injury, which she is suspected to have sustained after falling to the
ground and hitting the back of her head.
Police have since opened a docket of m8rder and launched a
manhunt for the suspect.
Mr. Hamoonga, further urged members of the public with
information that could assist in locating and apprehending the suspect to come
forward and cooperate with the police.
