MEGHAN MARKLE will return to acting in a 'Major New Project' in the Britain

Friday, August 21, 2026 - The Duchess of Sussex could return to acting following reports that she has been offered a role in an upcoming UK-based production.

Meghan Markle is best known for her role in the popular US legal drama Suits, where she played lawyer Rachel Zane for seven seasons until her engagement to Prince Harry.

After her final episode aired in 2018 and she joined the royal family, the 45-year-old duchess paused her acting career and has not taken on a regular scripted role since.

According to entertainment reports, the offer for a "top-secret" UK project played a significant role in the couple's decision to relocate back to Britain with their children.

Sources close to the duchess did not deny the reports, with further details regarding the production expected to be released soon. Alongside the prospective UK production, Meghan is set to make a cameo appearance as herself alongside Lily Collins and Brie Larson in the upcoming US feature film Close Personal Friends.

Before marrying Prince Harry, the duchess appeared in several television series, including CSI: Miami and Fringe, as well as films such as Get Him to the Greek, Remember Me, and Horrible Bosses.

Reflecting on her transition away from acting during her 2017 engagement interview, Meghan noted:

“What's been really exciting, as we talk about this as the transition out of my career, is that the causes that have been very important to me, I can focus even more energy on. You realise that as you have access, or a voice that people are willing to listen to, [it comes with] a lot of responsibility, which I take seriously. I don't see it as giving anything up. I just see it as a change. It's a new chapter.”

While the couple has not formally outlined all the reasons behind their relocation, the duchess is expected to continue overseeing her lifestyle brand, As Ever, from their new UK base.
