Tuesday, August 18, 2026 - A 27-year-old man identified as Ali Haruna has confessed to allegedly k!lling and behe@ding a woman identified as Aisha inside a hotel in Girei Local Government Area of Adamawa State.
Last Friday, the state police command arrested Haruna, who
hails from Kaleri in Maiduguri, Borno State, over the gruesome murd@r at a
hotel in Girei town, outskirt Yola, the state capital.
The suspect, who currently resides in Digno community,
Fufore Local Government Area, made the confession while speaking to
SaharaReporters at the Adamawa State Police Command headquarters in Yola on
Monday.
According to Haruna, he met the deceased for the first time
at the hotel, where they allegedly smoked Indian hemp and had sexu@l
intercourse before the incident occurred.
He admitted k!lling the woman and drinking her blo@d
afterward.
The spokesperson for Adamawa State Police Command, SP
Suleiman Nguroje, confirmed the arrest, saying the suspect remains in police
custody as the investigation into the incident continues.
Nguroje added that the suspect would be charged to court
upon the conclusion of the investigation.
