Monday, August 17, 2026 - Publisher and Presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore, has slammed newly re-elected Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, for endorsing President Tinubu’s second term.
While delivering his acceptance speech on August 16 after he
was declared the winner of the Osun State governorship election, Adeleke
reaffirmed his endorsement of President Tinubu for a second term in the 2027
presidential election, describing him as a son of the state. Adeleke also
commended Tinubu for what he described as his support for a free and fair
election in the state.
“At this point, I must deeply appreciate Mr. President, His Excellency Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for his strong support for a free and fair election.
Mr. President is a son of Osun State, and I hereby reaffirm my earlier endorsement of him for a second term in the 2027 presidential election,” Adeleke said
Reacting to this development, Omoyele, in a statement shared
on his Facebook, wrote
These
devilish people had to sacrifice the lives of almost 50 people in the chaos
before and during election in Osun State just to confirm that (there was an
agreement among them).
And when I
said Governor Ademola Adeleke has no authority, but no more than 24hours then
he is now supporting Tinubu's execution just because he is Yoruba.
Except for
the people who lost their lives, most of them are Yoruba. No part (in the
parties) says the umbrella about the victims. Who k!lled them? Who has
contributed to this political crisis? Are they investigating their death? Where
is justice for their families?
What is more
important to them is to protect their political interests, get power and
continue to have government resources keys if Nigerian masses push cars and
smoke.
Wicked people of people!''
