Friday, August 14, 2026 - Another horrifying case of child abuse and cruelty has emerged in Makurdi, Benue State, sparking outrage and condemnation.
A minor was allegedly abused and tortured with a hot object
by the woman he lives with.
Benue activist, Zege Orkwande, who disclosed this in a Facebook post on Friday, August 14, 2026 said the incident happened at Old GRA area of Makurdi.
"Happened this morning at Old GRA, Makurdi. Child
abuse/assault, hard labour and slavery,” he wrote
"Look at what one madam at Behind Total fuel station,
Old GRA Makurdi did to helper she brought from the village. This is evil,
slavery and inhumane.
"I'll advise her to respectfully report herself to any
divisional police station under Benue State Police Command, Makurdi.
“Madam/sir, use 12hrs to act respectfully or I'll drag you online before arrest/prosecution.”
