Wednesday, July 15, 2026 - Troops of Sector 1, Operation Whirl Stroke, OPWS, have arrested two suspected human organ traffickers during an operation in Katsina-Ala Local Government Area of Benue State.
Security expert, Zagazola Makama disclosed this in a report
he posted on X on Tuesday.
Quoting reliable security sources, Makama said the suspects
were apprehended at about on July 13 at Atongo community following
intelligence-led operations by troops deployed in the area.
The sources, according to him said the two suspects are
believed to be involved in human organ trafficking activities.
According to the sources, the suspects have been handed over
to the Nigeria Police for further investigation and possible prosecution.
The arrest is part of ongoing security operations by
Operation Whirl Stroke to dismantle criminal networks and curb violent crimes
across Benue and other parts of the North Central region.
