Tuesday, July 14, 2026 - Lagos State Government has commenced the recruitment of clinical personnel across its 29 secondary healthcare facilities in a bid to strengthen healthcare service delivery and address manpower shortages within the state’s health sector.
The Lagos State Health Service Commission disclosed this in
a statement issued on Monday, noting that the recruitment exercise was
approved by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu to fill vacant positions in
government-owned general hospitals across the state.
According to the commission, the initiative aligns with the
administration’s THEMES Agenda and reflects its commitment to improving access
to quality healthcare for residents.
The commission said the recruitment is also aimed at
mitigating the impact of the ongoing brain drain affecting the health sector
while enhancing the capacity of public healthcare institutions.
Vacancies are available for consultants in various
specialties, senior registrars, medical officers, dental officers, pharmacists,
physiotherapists, medical laboratory scientists, optometrists, radiographers,
nursing officers, clinical psychologists and health assistants.
Interested applicants are required to submit their
applications online through the Lagos State Health Service Commission
recruitment portal.
The commission announced that the application process
commenced on Monday, July 13, 2026, and will remain open
until Friday, July 24, 2026.
It added that only candidates who are shortlisted would be
invited to participate in a computer-based test, CBT, and an interview.
The commission also cautioned applicants against making
payments to any individual or organization, stressing that the recruitment
exercise is free of charge.
