"If na money u see chop am. Who wants to suffer with poor people?” Nigerian woman slams netizens trolling her newlywed sister for marrying an old man

Monday, July 20, 2026 - A Benue woman, Angela Yarkwan, has slammed those making disparaging comments and questioning her newlywed ‘sister’ Faith Gaji's choice of husband.

Faith and her husband, Chief Tony Yese, got married in Gboko at the weekend.

Taking to Facebook on Saturday, July 18, 2026, she shut the trolls up for judging Faith, saying some of them don't even have boyfriends while the men would still shame her if she stayed single.

She encouraged Faith to enjoy her marriage, after all, nobody wants to “suffer with poor people.”

“SEV SHI AV VE. For those of you people commenting nonsense about my sister's marriage, come forward I want to ask you something, both female and male,” she wrote.

"For ladies that are above 35, 38, 40 etc, where is ur husband? Are u in a man's house? Some of you don't even have boyfriend to show that this my boyfriend. Some of you are moving girls in ashawo business, or do you prefer her to stay in her papa house like you ladies do.

"See especially my Tiv sisters, you ladies should mind wetin una dey face for una papa house.

"For my brothers, do you people want her to stay at home them you will be f...kin her from one man to another? Have sense,or do you want her to be moving girls to Ghana and Mali like others do? So that you be dragging her.

“Calling her names that she don't want to marry? Think about your life before entering another person house. Go and face ur family, leave her and her beloved husband alone werey.

"Enjoy yourself my love. If na money u see chop am. Who want suffer with poor people, chop very well.”
