Tuesday, July 14, 2026 - A Catholic priest has reacted to a trending video of church members in Sapele, Delta State, praying fervently against an owl that wandered into their church premises on Sunday, July 13.
The church was holding its Sunday service when the owl flew
into its premises. The church members caught the bird and took it to their
pastor who began to pray fervently against the owl.
Some Christians believe that Owls are ev!l birds and go as
far as k!lling them when caught.
Reacting to the viral video, Fr Kelvin Ugwu,
‘’What can
we do to stop many churches and Christians in Nigeria to stop demonizing Owls?
